10 LESSONS THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE (and your business)
…things I took away from this weekend from Delivering WOW Summit.
- If your dreams matter, you’ll find a way to become resourceful and go after them. Successful people find a way, and they don’t make excuses.
- Like a pilot about to take off, you must have a vision of your dream destination. High-achievers have a vision for how they want their life to unfold.
- Nothing is more important than what you do right now, not tomorrow, next week, or next month. Have a long-team vision, but execute the steps today with tenacity.
- Decide that you will no longer work with “x” type of people, and raise the standards of the people you attract. This one is difficult for newer entrepreneurs because they’ll say yes to everyone for the financial validation.
- Have daily and weekly metrics in your life for the things that matter most. Your business, health, and relationships – always strive for improvement and measure from where you were, not against your ideal.
- Collaboration is a true form of building relationships. Know your gifts, but also recognize the gifts of others. By betting on the strengths of others, you’ll continue to win.
- Decide that the time is now. The worst possible day in the history of mankind is “tomorrow”.
- Understand and accept that if you want a life different than the norm, your actions will have to be radically different than 99% of others.
- Your network and community can help you jump levels in life. Hire people to give you the shortcuts that you’ll benefit from.
- Hold people accountable, especially your clients. They signed up with you for a result. Help them see that their vision still matters, even when things get difficult.
